VENTRESCA, Mario – Passed away at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, with his loving family at his side , on Tuesday March 2, 2010 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of 50 years to Elsa (DiPlacido) Ventresca. Dearly loved father of Antonio (Sue) Ventresca, Marilena (Don) Smith and Angelo (Annie) Ventresca. Cherished Nonno of Amanda, Jennifer, Natasha, Christina, Nolan, Natalie and Mitchell. Dear brother of Carmen (Velia) Ventresca, Maria (Palmino) Pingue and Salvatore “Sam” (Frances) Ventresca and brother-in-law of Josephine Ventresca, Lina Ventresca and Antonio Petrolino. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Antonio and Maddalena, his brothers Settimio, Gino and Livio, his sisters Anna and Elena and his granddaughter Marla Smith. Mr. Ventresca retired from the Niagara Parks Commission after more than 25 years of service. He was also a member of Coro Club Italia and the Associazione Nazionale Combattenti e Reduci where he will be missed by his many friends.
