STRATHERN, Ian David – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ian David Strathern on Saturday June 26, 2010. Loving son, brother and uncle he will be dearly missed by all who were close to him. Ian was the son of David and Pat Strathern, brother to Jocelyn Sirianni (Anthony) and proud uncle to Erin and Nathan Sirianni. Over fifteen years ago, he was tragically injured playing the sport he loved the most- hockey. He lived with his parents and received dedicated nursing care from a team of nurses whom he met over the years. Ian faced many struggles and challenges, but he always greeted each and every day with fearlessness and determination. He lived his life with conviction and taught many others valuable life lessons.
